I completed my bachelor’s degree in Medicinal Chemistry & Pharmaceutical Science, but after I finished my degree, I was really unsure about where I wanted my career to go. After trying a few different roles, I decided to marry my passion for dealing with people and Pharma sales and give recruitment a go. I joined i-Pharm in March 2019 and haven’t looked back! I have received several promotions during my time at i-Pharm and am now a Director.

Before recruitment, I worked as an Estate Agent, six days a week, always working Saturdays. I wanted my weekends back and a role with better commission, so I moved into recruitment, spending two years at a different company before joining Apollo. Apollo was my first job in London, and my introduction to an exciting new market: IT Audit and Cyber Security. I’ve stayed within the Corporate Governance team ever since, progressing from Consultant to Senior Consultant. Some of my proudest moments have been delivering a huge multi-hire project for a well-known global retailer and taking a work trip to Dublin, where we met 13 clients in just two days.

After completing my BSc in Biomedical Sciences with First Class Honours, I knew I wanted to stay connected to the life sciences industry but also wanted a role where I could use my communication skills and passion for people. That’s what led me to i-Pharm, where I now recruit within the biotech sector as a Senior Delivery Consultant.  This role blends my scientific background with my people skills, allowing me to build strong relationships and connect with candidates on a deeper level. From day one, I’ve loved the collaborative culture and the genuine celebration of each other’s success. Working across projects and teams has strengthened my confidence, allowed me to build meaningful relationships, and made my time at i-Pharm incredibly rewarding.

I’ve been in the industry since 2019; recruitment was my first move after university. What drew me to Apollo was the people and culture: high-performing but human-centric, which is rare. The business has always genuinely cared about its employees, and everyone was friendly, warm and welcoming from the moment I started interviewing. Today, I’m a Business Manager focused on expanding our US presence. What I love about this industry is the earning potential: if you work hard, work smart, and consistently look at where you can improve, you’ll see the results. That’s what keeps me motivated, alongside some great billers, individuals, and leadership around me.

I’ve been with i-Pharm for almost five years, and it’s genuinely been a great experience. I joined looking for a mature environment built on trust, autonomy, and real development, and I found exactly that. I’ve been able to build a thriving Regulatory Affairs desk with strong client partnerships, supportive collaboration, and ongoing training that keeps me growing. What I value most is our genuinely human leadership: flexible, encouraging, and always open to new ideas. I’ve grown from Practice Lead to Associate Vice President with their support. And of course, the travel has been incredible, from incentive trips to Cape Town and Dubai, to visiting our global offices and attending national conferences. i-Pharm truly feels like home.

Before recruitment, I worked as a Trunk Sewers Technician with Thames Water – something very different! The chance to progress at my own pace, along with the financial incentive of a commission-based role, is what drew me to recruitment, and the people here are why I chose to stay. I started as an Associate Consultant and, over four years, worked my way up to Senior Consultant, with two promotions and an office move along the way. One of my proudest moments has been building a relationship with a global client to the point where we’re now their preferred supplier.

I’ve always enjoyed working with people, and picked up strong communication and relationship-building skills working in retail throughout my studies. After graduating, I moved into Life Sciences recruitment, where I spent four years before deciding I was ready for a new challenge. Corporate Governance was a completely new market for me, which was a big part of the appeal, and Apollo stood out because of its focused approach, clear strategy, and ambitious growth plans. Since joining, the team has been the biggest standout for me: everyone has been incredibly welcoming, supportive, and generous with their knowledge, making the transition into a new market much easier.

I joined i-Pharm in November 2019 with five years of recruitment experience and now specialize in recruiting Business Development talent across the US market. I was due to relocate to New York when the pandemic hit, but while grounded in the UK I continued to build the US desk until finally making the move Stateside in 2022. That same year, after hitting the $1 million mark, I became part of the i-Pharm Elite. I’m proud to have been the company’s global Top Biller for Perm for five consecutive years, from 2021 through 2025.

I started my recruitment career in 2009, spending most of it in Life Sciences with a strong focus on Medical Affairs. I chose i-Pharm because it genuinely stood out: the leadership is human, the culture is mature, and people are treated like adults. Since joining, I’ve felt aligned, supported, and challenged in the right ways. I’ve enjoyed lunch clubs, the Big Billers trip to Mykonos, and fun socials ranging from go-karting to pasta making. You can be yourself here – get involved if you want, never because you have to. And there’s clear progression. I’m excited for what’s ahead!
